That was, by far, the best game of the preseason. The Hornets went nuclear, putting up 145 points in a performance that felt like a return to the fun, league pass darlings of a few years ago. The entire game was capped off by an unbelievable, all-star caliber play: LaMelo Ball with a nutmeg on Jock Landale into a full-court, left-handed alley-oop to a streaking Brandon Miller.
We have to start with Miles Bridges, who was the player of the game with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists on incredible efficiency. He’s getting his points in a variety of ways, from spot-up jumpers to transition finishes, showcasing a more sustainable shot diet. We’ll also examine the contagious energy of Moussa Diabaté, who has become a fan favorite by creating countless second-chance opportunities and cleaning the glass with nine offensive rebounds. His chemistry with Collin Sexton off the bench has been a revelation, and we’ve officially dubbed them the "MoCo" duo. The question now is, what does this all mean? We’ll consider if this level of execution is real, especially with three key rotation players still out, and what it says about the team’s new, faster pace.
