On Sept. 12, Alia Rose — daughter of the late Teena Marie — revealed that a book and a long-awaited biopic are in the works to honor her mother’s legacy. Teena Marie, known as the “Ivory Queen of Soul,” died in 2010 at age 54 but continues to inspire generations with her music.
