In 2 Kings 23, King Josiah leads sweeping reforms in Judah. He renews the covenant before the Lord, destroys idols and high places, restores the celebration of Passover, and removes abominations from the land. Yet even Josiah's zeal could not turn aside God's judgment for the sins of the nation. This passage reminds us that true and lasting redemption comes only through Jesus Christ, the greater King and true Passover Lamb.
