Description
In 1 Chronicles 20, we see David's victories over the Ammonites and the Philistine giants. Joab leads the siege of Rabbah, and David takes the crown, dedicating the spoils to the Lord. David's men also strike down descendants of the giants, showing that no enemy can withstand the Lord's power and covenant promises. These accounts remind us that all crowns and victories belong to the Lord alone. They point us forward to Christ, the greater David, who conquered sin, death, and Satan at the cross. In Him, believers are more than conquerors, and every blessing and triumph should be dedicated to His glory.
