The Appalachian Not Deer is a folk cryptid with sightings common in the foothills of Virginia, but they aren't bound to a specific location. Unlike Mothman or the Jersey Devil, Not Deer seem to be a phenomenon rather than one creature. Sightings typically occur at night or in the early evening/morning when visibility is low. Most people describe the Not Deer's appearance to be uncomfortable because it so closely resembles a deer but, well, not.
