Special Counsel Robert Mueller resigns from the DOJ speaks publicly for the first time in nearly two years. In his prepared statement, Mueller declares only Congress may “accuse” President Trump of wrongdoing, essentially handing off any next steps to Congress. Mueller also downplays testifying before Congress. Lastly, AG Barr and the Trump administration responds to Mueller’s public statement.
