Hr: Ivana je ustala rano toga dana.
En: Ivana got up early that day.

Hr: Jesen je polako osvajala Ilok.
En: Autumn was slowly taking over Ilok.

Hr: Lišće je šuštalo pod nogama, a zrak je bio svjež.
En: Leaves crunched underfoot, and the air was fresh.

Hr: Bio je dan Velike Gospe, i Ivana je planirala pripremiti pravu gozbu za svoju obitelj.
En: It was the day of the Assumption, and Ivana planned to prepare a real feast for her family.

Hr: Tržnica u Iloku bila je živahna.
En: The market in Ilok was lively.

Hr: Stotine ljudi su šetale između štandova.
En: Hundreds of people wandered between the stalls.

Hr: Neki su nosili torbe pune voća i povrća, dok su drugi birali najljepše bundeve.

Hr: "Miroslav je kimnuo.

Hr: "Vaša želja je moj zadatak!
En: "Your wish is my command!"

Hr: " I uz osmijeh se uputio prema području s medom.
En: He headed towards the honey section with a smile.

Hr: Ivana je napokon mogla na miru birati ostale sastojke.
En: Ivana could finally choose the other ingredients in peace.

Hr: No, najvažnije su bile jabuke.

Hr: Planirala je napraviti bakinu poznatu pitu od jabuka.
