Sl: Svetloba mediteranskega sonca se je razlivala po pisano nadkritih stojnicah na tržnici v Kopru.
En: The light of the Mediterranean sun poured over the brightly covered stalls at the market in Koper.
Sl: Zrak je bil napolnjen z dišečimi vonji svežih rib in zelenjave, pomešan s prijetnim vonjem soli, ki jo je prinašal vetrič z bližnjega morja.
En: The air was filled with the fragrant scents of fresh fish and vegetables, mixed with the pleasant smell of salt brought in by the breeze from the nearby sea.

En: While the vendors loudly beckoned customers, Neža walked among the stalls with curious eyes.

En: Bojan scratched his chin.
Sl: "Zelišča so letos bolj redka zaradi nedavnih neviht.
En: "The herbs are scarcer this year because of the recent storms.
Sl: Ampak," je dodal z iskrico v očeh, "imam še nekaj.
En: But," he added with a twinkle in his eye, "I do have some.
Sl: Vprašanje je, komu jih naj prodam.
En: The question is, to whom should I sell them?"
Sl: "Neža je vedela, da bo morala prepričati Bojana.
En: Neža knew she would have to persuade Bojan.

En: "You know," she said, pulling a paper bag from her basket, "I have fresh homemade pastries.
