ep. 29: 5 Tricks for Working from Home During the Summer

Published 3 years, 2 months ago
Description

In this episode, Sandy reflects on the summer, and how she was able to run her business, full time with her boys home with her all summer. At the beginning of summer she was nervous, but everyone came out alive and well, and these are her takeaways from running a business at home with kids running around. She shares things that went well, and things you can do if you’re a work at home mama with kiddos around.

KEY POINTS

  • Are your expectations reasonable? Are you expecting to work an 8 hour day from home? Ditch that idea and make it work for you and your family.

  • Your kids can probably do more independently than you think they can.

  • Let your guilt go; and there’s a specific thought reframe to do that in this episode.

QUOTEABLES

“I took a really hard look at all the things I was doing for my family, and I asked myself, from that list- what are the things they can do independently. And this helped them both become more independent this summer.”
