Episode 91
Have you ever caught yourself saying something in Luxembourgish like:
👉 Hie schwätzt haart. – He speaks loudly.
👉 Hatt huet lues geschwat. – She spoke softly.
…and then immediately thought:
“Hmm… that doesn’t really capture what I meant.”
I see this all the time with my students.
In your own language, you know exactly what to say. In Luxembourgish, it comes out flat — almost robotic.
You don’t want “basic,” you want you — clear, expressive, confident.
That’s why I recorded this new episode.
It’s all about moving beyond the plain schwätzen and finding words that capture the feeling, the tone, the emotion.
Because saying Hatt huet haart geschwat isn’t the same as saying:
➡️ Hatt huet duerch de ganze Büro gejaut.
➡️ Hatt huet den Team ugebrëllt.
➡️ Hatt huet gebläert, mee keen huet eppes verstanen.
See the difference? Suddenly the moment is alive. And so is your Luxembourgish.
