Lets face it, if we forced match shooters to shoot ultra-light rifles in magnum calibers, would they have the same score they normally would have with their match gun? In selecting a hunting rifle, we do everything the exact opposite a match shooter would do to shoot better. This is about to change and it has to do with several things happening at the same time: gear, calibers, and bullets.
