In Colorado, former gym owner and self-proclaimed faith-based coach Aaron Thomas Carrado was convicted on August 14, 2025, of sexually assaulting two teenage athletes he trained between 2019 and 2022. He now awaits sentencing in November, where prosecutors say they’ll push for a life term. Our second case takes us to Los Angeles, where four suburban moms known as the “Carpool Detectives” solved a 15-year-old double homicide linked to organized crime. Their investigation not only helped reopen the case, but also inspired a new true-crime book that’s making national headlines.
