Episode 2 - A Tailor's Tale with Maria Credali

Season 3 Episode 2 Published 4 years, 6 months ago
Description

Welcome to Season 3 of Dragonfly Tales, a story podcast for children (and grown ups) of all ages.

This episode, we are thinking about how we can mend and make do - reduce, reuse and recycle things - so that everyone can enjoy the wonders of our beautiful planet.  It's not too late, if we all work together for change.

Our first story this episode is from our guest teller Maria Credali.  Maria takes traditional tales and makes them her own, breathing life into characters and taking the listener on journeys of magic and myth.  Her favourite stories are those that leave you feeling that all is well in the world…..perhaps those are just the sort of stories we need at the moment…

Our second story is an old old Yiddish tale about a tailor who finds that, with a little ingenuity and hard work, he can make something new from something old. We got lots of inspiration from Helen East's version of this tale.  You can find her version in an excellent book called
The Singing Story Cloth!

If you would like a SHOUT OUT, or to tell a tale on the podcast, the best thing to do is join the Dragonfly Tales story chat on Facebook.  However, if you don't use Facebook, you can email us at emilydragonflytales@gmail.com and we will try our best to give you a shout out.
