Sr: Никола и Милан шетају међу древним рушевинама, обавијени златним листовима јесени.
En: Nikola and Milan stroll among the ancient ruins, enveloped in the golden leaves of autumn.
Sr: Стубови, напола пали, сведоче о давно угашеним цивилизацијама.
En: The columns, half-fallen, bear witness to long-extinct civilizations.
Sr: Свеж ветар носи мирис историје и тајни.
En: A fresh breeze carries the scent of history and secrets.
Sr: "Погледај, Милане, како је све ово занимљиво!" узвикну Никола, очи му сијају од узбуђења.
En: "Look, Milane, how interesting all this is!" exclaimed Nikola, his eyes shining with excitement.
Sr: "Овде мора да има неки сувенир који ће нам причати о прошлости."
En: "There must be some souvenir here that will tell us about the past."
Sr: "Али, Никола, каква корист од старих каменчића и глиняних фигурина?" одговори Милан, који је више волео удобности града.
En: "But, Nikola, what's the use of old stones and clay figurines?" replied Milan, who preferred the comforts of the city.
Sr: "Боље да одемо у град и купимо нешто конкретно."
En: "We'd better go to the city and buy something tangible."
Sr: Док су шетали међу хладним сенкама древних зидина, срели су старог продавца који је имао тезгу препуну реплика артефаката.
En: As they walked among the cold shadows of the ancient walls, they encountered an old vendor with a stall full of artifact replicas.
Sr: Каменчићи, талисмани, и мале фигурице слагали су се као костимирана историја.
En: Stones, talismans, and small figurines were arranged like costumed history.
Sr: Никола је стао пред тезгу са очима пуним дивљења.
En: Nikola stopped in front of the stall with eyes full of admiration.
Sr: "Ово мора да има неку причу, Милане," рече Никола док је држао мали, деликатно урезани талисман.
En: "This must have a story, Milane," said Nikola while holding a small, delicately carved talisman.
Sr: Продавац је објаснио да је овај талисман израз древне мудрости и да доноси срећу.
En: The vendor explained that this talisman was an expression of ancient wisdom and that it brings luck.
Sr: "Није ли све ово само превара за туристе?" Милан је посегао да одговори, али Никола је већ био очаран предметом у својој руци.
En: "Isn't all this just a scam for tourists?" Milan reached to respond, but Nikola was already enchanted by the item in his hand.
Sr: "Да ли си сигуран, Никола? Можда је боље да сачувамо новац за нешто корисније," рекао је Милан, ипак мало попуштајући.
En: "Are you sure, Nikola? Maybe it’s better to save the money for something more useful," said Milan, however, slightly relenting.
Sr: Никола је одлучио.
En: Nikola decided.
Sr: Купио је талисман, поверивши у његову чар и причу коју носи.
En: He bought the talisman, trusting its charm and the story it carried.
Sr: Док су се враћали путем, Милан поче да примећује радост коју је сувенир донео његовом пријатељу.
En: As they walked back, Milan began to notice the joy the souvenir brought to his friend.
Sr: "Можда сам био престрог," рече Милан, погледавши Николу који је и даље с уживањем посматрао свој нов стекчени предмет.
En: "Maybe I was too harsh," said Milan, looking at Nikola who was still admiring his newly acquired item.
Sr: "Можда има нешто у томе да вреднујемо искуства и приче."
En: "Maybe there is something to valuing experiences and stories."
