What a weekend for Big 12 football! Week 6 on October 4-5, 2025, delivered some incredible drama, major upsets, and last-second heroics that completely shook up the conference standings.

Here are the biggest moments from the weekend:

1. The Heart-Stopping Finish in Waco: Baylor's Dramatic Comeback

The most captivating game of the weekend was the thriller between Baylor and Kansas State, which the Bears won 35-34 in a wild fourth quarter.

The Rally: Baylor faced a 31-17 deficit heading into the final quarter.

The Pick-Six: A 66-yard pick-six by safety Jacob Redding flipped the momentum and momentarily gave Baylor the lead late in the game.

The Kicker Heroics: After Kansas State reclaimed the lead with a field goal, Baylor kicker Connor Hawkins drilled a clutch 53-yard game-winning field goal with just 31 seconds left.

The Blocked Field Goal: The win was sealed on the final play when the Baylor special teams blocked Kansas State's last-ditch field goal attempt as time expired.

2. Cincinnati's Statement Upset

The new members of the Big 12 are making a lot of noise. The Cincinnati Bearcats secured a huge upset at home, defeating the ranked No. 14 Iowa State Cyclones with a final score of 38-30.

This win keeps Cincinnati undefeated in conference play and firmly establishes them as a contender in the Big 12 title race. The Cyclones struggled offensively, and the Bearcats capitalized on their home-field advantage.

3. Arizona's Dominant Performance

The Arizona Wildcats delivered an emphatic, conference-shaking performance at home, soundly defeating the Oklahoma State Cowboys 41-13.

Quarterback Noah Fifita was outstanding, throwing for nearly 400 yards and five touchdowns.

The Arizona defense was stifling, holding the Cowboys to less than 175 yards of total offense, which will surely launch the Wildcats up the next Top 25 poll.

4. Texas Tech Rolls On

The undefeated No. 9 Texas Tech Red Raiders proved their status as a top contender, dominating Houston 35-11 on the road. Quarterback Behren Morton had a great performance, and the Red Raiders' strong ground game helped secure another convincing Big 12 victory, keeping them unblemished.

Other Notable Results:

Kansas survived a scare on the road, gutting out a hard-fought 27-20 win over UCF. The Jayhawks' running back Leshon Williams scored three touchdowns, and the defense pitched a shutout in the second half.

TCU defeated Colorado 35-21, coming back from an early 14-0 deficit as the Buffaloes struggled with four total turnovers.

BYU took care of business at home, beating West Virginia 38-24.
