My guest today is the former president of the Swedish Chapter of the Mises Institute, Jon Nylander. We discuss the large welfare state in Sweden and the damage it's doing. There has been a large influx of immigrants into Swedish society in the last few years and rather than assisting various cultures with assimilation, the welfare state is pushing them further apart from each other. Markets bring people together and multiculturalism is much more harmonious but heavy government intervention and state sponsored welfare does the opposite.
