Authorities killed the suspect — Thomas Jacob Sanford — who has been identified as an Iraq war veteran. In North Carolina, Nigel Edge is accused of shooting up a restaurant from a boat in what authorities are calling a “premeditated attack.” Edge told investigators he is a combat veteran.
