It's just awkward and icky. When you know you messed up, and they know you messed up. Have you ever been in this position? Where you've hurt someone, unintentionally or not, and now you just know you've got to fix that disconnection. I've felt that way with God so many times in my life. Because I expected to turn back to a scowling and disapproving God, I would avoid going back to Him. If you've been here too, then the good news is that that angry figure is not who our God actually is.

But the Lord still waits for you to come to him so he can show his love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God.
