Season 1 Episode 186 Published 3 months, 1 week ago
Description

On this episode, Chris previewed the elite field for the Chicago Marathon!

On the women's side, we have a strong Ethiopian and Kenyan contingent leading the field, with 5 women sub-2:20. Last year's winner set the world record with a 2:09, but was subsequently banned for a doping violation. Leading the Americans is Olympian Dakota Popehn, hoping to break her 2:24 PR and run in the low 2:20s!

On the men's side, we have the winner of the last Chicago Marathon and Boston Marathon leading the way, John Korir, and he wants to run FAST! World record fast? We will see! Pushing him will be half-marathon world record holder Jacob Kiplimo of Uganda.

And of course - we have Connor Mantz and Rory Linkletter trying to run under the North American record of 2:05:36. Also - Galen Rupp's last race potentially? We will see!

So many fun storylines this year, hope you enjoy the preview!
