I first heard about Freedom Boat Club a couple years ago. A few of our Salt Strong members had sold their boats (after many years of frustration dealing with things breaking, long lines at boat ramps, etc) to join a boat club. I was skeptical at first, but the more I kept hearing about it, the more curious I became. Finally, I drove down to the local Freedom Boat Club here in Winter Haven, FL and asked for a tour.
