In the days immediately following Moriah Wilson’s murder, Kaitlin Armstrong managed to slip through law enforcement’s grasp in a stunning security failure. After investigators questioned her briefly in Austin, she boarded a flight out of Texas and eventually made her way to Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. Surveillance cameras captured her presence there, but authorities later admitted they lost track of her once she entered the international terminal. With little information on her intended destination, investigators were left scrambling, and the lapse gave Armstrong a crucial head start in her bid to evade capture.
