We started off the show talking about how social media is affecting our lives and our health.
Have you ever thought about how it’s probably not possible for social media to go away? We NEED social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and all the rest of them.
Our society craves it much like when the television (tell-a-vision) was invented. There’s no going back now. But is it harming us? Should we learn how to use it responsibly or get rid of it all together?
Interesting thoughts.
We also talked about how valuable it is to become your own guru. Listen to your gut, shut out other people and start to trust your own intuition rather than going to other people for advice. We need people to lead us in our culture.
But we can lead ourselves we are just too scared to strip away the dependency we’ve created and embark our own hero’s journey.
I don’t know what it is or why but we inherently trust doctors, authors, experts, scientists or other “perceived authorities” more than we trust the opinion of our own being.
You have the power to write a prescription plan that’s infinitely more powerful than any doctor. You know why you have health issues and you know exactly what you need to heal from them and how to do it.
Why do we feel like we can’t know this?
Because we never take the time to practice the discipline of listening to ourselves. I would challenge you if you’re reading this, to sit quietly with a journal and write out exactly what caused you to get sick and everything you can conceive of that you need to do in order to heal.
