About 5 years ago I had an injury in the gym while doing bent over rows. I’ve told this story before but I was in the wrong position and I knew it but I kept going anyway.
Bad decision.
Instead of doing 10 reps I thought I’d do just 5. On the 4th I knew I should have stopped, instead I pushed through and forced one more rep.
That’s when it happened. I felt a major separation in my low back and then a sense of warmth and then I felt it getting tight and seizing up on me.
I came to find out much later through some testing that I had a 7mm herniated disc.
