Cs: V orlovárně na okraji města, obklopené stromy, jejichž listí zářilo oranžovou a červenou barvou podzimního listí, žila Jana.
En: In the orlovárna on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by trees whose leaves glowed with the orange and red colors of autumn foliage, lived Jana.
Cs: Byla nejstarší z dětí a na některé z nich dohlížela jako starostlivá maminka.
En: She was the oldest of the children and watched over them like a caring mom.
Cs: Mezi nimi byl Petr, malý chlapec s očima plnými zvědavosti a snů o světě venku.
En: Among them was Petr, a little boy with eyes full of curiosity and dreams about the world outside.
Cs: Jednoho chladného podzimního rána se však svět v orlovně změnil.
En: One cold autumn morning, however, the world in the orlovárna changed.
Cs: Petr onemocněl a musel k lékaři.
En: Petr fell ill and had to see a doctor.
Cs: Lékař řekl, že má vážnou nemoc.
En: The doctor said he had a serious illness.
Cs: Jana byla hrozně vystrašená.
En: Jana was terribly frightened.
Cs: Co když Petr odejde?
En: What if Petr leaves?
Cs: Nemůže ho ztratit.
En: She couldn't bear to lose him.
Cs: Jana věděla, že Hana, jedna z vychovatelek, má přísná pravidla.
En: Jana knew that Hana, one of the caretakers, had strict rules.
Cs: Hana sice děti milovala, ale vždy dodržovala postupy a protokoly.
En: Though Hana loved the children, she always followed procedures and protocols.
Cs: Jana musela jednat rychle.
En: Jana had to act quickly.
Cs: Uvědomila si, že musí pro Petra vybojovat to nejlepší.
En: She realized that she must fight for the best care for Petr.
Cs: Večer, když ostatní děti šly spát, Jana šla za Hanou.
En: In the evening, when the other children went to bed, Jana went to see Hana.
Cs: „Paní Hano, musíme něco udělat pro Petra,“ začala Jana s vážným výrazem.
En: "Paní Hano, we have to do something for Petr," Jana began with a serious expression.
Cs: „To dítě potřebuje speciální péči a teď je to důležité.
En: "That child needs special care, and now it's important."
Cs: “Hana se na Janu podívala se zamyšleným výrazem.
En: Hana looked at Jana with a thoughtful expression.
Cs: „Rozumím, Jano, ale musí se dodržovat pravidla,“ odpověděla nejistě.
En: "I understand, Jano, but rules must be followed," she replied uncertainly.
Cs: „Ale co když Petr odejde?
En: "But what if Petr leaves?
Cs: Bojím se, paní Hano.
En: I'm afraid, Paní Hano.
Cs: Vím, jaké to je, když někoho ztratíš,“ dodala Jana s očima plnými slz.
En: I know what it's like to lose someone," added Jana, with eyes full of tears.
Cs: Ta slova zasáhla Hanu hluboko.
En: These words struck Hana deeply.
Cs: Viděla, jak moc Jana Petrův osud bere k srdci.
En: She saw how much Jana cared about Petr's fate.
Cs: Přemýšlela nad tím, že možná někdy pravidla nejsou vše, zvlášť když jde o život dětí.
En: She thought that maybe sometimes rules aren't everything, especially when it comes to the life of a child.
Cs: Hana se rozhodla pomoci.
En: Hana decided to help.
Cs: „Dobře, Jano.
En: "Alright, Jano.
Cs: Probereme to se správou a uvidíme, co lze udělat.
En: We'll discuss it with the management and see what can be done."
