Learning to Trust Yourself After Years of Doubting {Ep 181}

Season 4 Episode 181

Doubt often stems from learned behaviors, where you’ve been conditioned to seek answers outside yourself. Trusting your own voice is a gradual process that starts with small everyday decisions, which send positive messages to yourself and strengthen your intuition over time. Self-trust grows through use, not perfection and requires kindness, forgiveness, and patience. Even moments of hesitation are part of the practice, and while external input is sometimes necessary, most answers already lie within you. Highlights Self-doubt is usually a learned response, not a reflection of actual ability. Trusting yourself starts with small everyday choices. Pausing before speaking and actively listening improve self-awareness and manifestation. Intuition becomes stronger the more you practice listening to it. Moments of hesitation are natural and helpful in building self-trust. Self-trust grows with kindness, compassion, and regular practice. Most answers you seek are already within you. Key Insights Doubt as Learned Behavior: Doubt originates from years of external conditioning where authority figures shaped our thinking, not from inherent incapability. Recognizing this helps reframe self-doubt as a habit to be unlearned rather than a personal flaw. Small Choices Build Big Trust: Making simple decisions based on your own desires (like choosing what to eat) can reinforce self-trust by affirming that your inner voice is valid and reliable. Power of Pausing: Taking a moment before speaking or reacting allows awareness to grow, helping you consciously direct your manifestations instead of unconsciously reinforcing doubt or negative outcomes. Intuition Grows with Use: Like a muscle, intuition strengthens each time you acknowledge and act on it, even if you occasionally make mistakes. Forgiving yourself is part of this growth. Hesitation Is Practice: Instead of fearing hesitation or doubt, viewing these moments as opportunities to return to yourself fosters patience and reduces anxiety over needing to be perfect. Self-Compassion Is Essential: Treating yourself with kindness and love encourages deeper trust, as harshness or self-criticism often deepen doubt. Balance Between Inner and Outer Guidance: While trusting yourself is crucial, it does not mean ignoring external advice when appropriate, there’s a healthy balance between listening inwardly and seeking help.
