Sl: V zadnjih žarkih jesenskega sonca se je Luka odločil.
En: In the last rays of the autumn sun, Luka made a decision.
Sl: Sedel je na šolskem dvorišču, skupaj z Niko in Matejem.
En: He was sitting in the schoolyard with Nika and Matej.
Sl: "Gremo!
En: "Let's go!"
Sl: " je rekel z iskrico v očeh.
En: he said with a spark in his eyes.
Sl: "Julijske Alpe nas čakajo.
En: "The Julian Alps are waiting for us."
Sl: "Nika je pogledala proti učilnici.
En: Nika glanced toward the classroom.
Sl: Vedela je, da jutri pišejo težko kontrolno nalogo.
En: She knew they had a difficult test tomorrow.
Sl: Vendar jo je v srcu mikalo.
En: However, she was tempted in her heart.
Sl: Sanjala je o svobodi in dogodivščinah.
En: She dreamed of freedom and adventures.
Sl: Matej se je zasmejal: "Šola bo še vedno tam.
En: Matej laughed, "School will still be there.
Sl: Mi pa bomo imeli zgodbo za pripovedovanje.

Sl: " Tako so se vkrcali v star avto, katerega so si delili.
En: So they boarded the old car they shared.
Sl: Cesta se je vila med gorami, obdana z zlatimi jesenskimi listi.
En: The road wound through the mountains, surrounded by golden autumn leaves.
Sl: Zrak je bil hladen, svež, in poln obetov.
En: The air was cold, fresh, and full of promises.
Sl: Skozi okno so gledali meglice, ki so se vlekle nizine.
En: Through the window, they watched the mist trailing over the lowlands.
Sl: "Kako je lepo," je vzkliknila Nika, ko so prečkali majhno vasico.
En: "How beautiful," exclaimed Nika as they crossed a small village.
Sl: Ljudi ni bilo videti, le nekaj dimnikov se je kadilo, kjer so domačini kurili v pečeh.
En: There were no people to be seen, just a few chimneys smoking where locals were burning fires in stoves.
Sl: A pogumno vzdušje se je kmalu spremenilo.
En: But the brave atmosphere soon changed.
Sl: Na nebu so se začeli zbirati temni oblaki.
En: Dark clouds began to gather in the sky.
Sl: Močan veter je stresel njihovega zvestega avta.
En: A strong wind shook their faithful car.
Sl: "Kam zdaj?
En: "Where to now?"
Sl: " je vprašal Matej, ko se je cesta začela zavijati skozi ostre ovinke.
En: asked Matej as the road started to twist through sharp bends.
Sl: Luka je bil tiho, premišljeval je.
En: Luka was silent, pondering.
Sl: Obetal si je pustolovščino, a zdaj se je zdelo tvegano.
En: He had envisioned an adventure, but now it seemed risky.
Sl: Nenadoma se je usul dež.
En: Suddenly, rain poured down.
Sl: Padal je kot slap.
En: It fell like a waterfall.
Sl: Cesta je postala drseča in ovinki so se zdeli nevarnejši.
En: The road became slippery, and the curves seemed more dangerous.
Sl: Trenutek panike je zasijalo skozi avto.
En: A moment of panic flickered through the car.
