The assailant was identified at the scene and taken into custody. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office indicates the suspect was booked and the case is pending review.

Officers detained both individuals and cited them at the scene before releasing them pending further investigation.
In East Sacramento, an alleged vandalism incident occurred at a park near Folsom Boulevard, where multiple picnic tables and playground equipment were tagged with graffiti overnight. No suspect was observed and park rangers have stepped up patrols in the area. The case remains under investigation.

Witnesses state an altercation broke out between two individuals, resulting in one sustaining a laceration injury. The victim received medical attention at the scene. South Land Park saw a vehicle burglary in a commercial parking lot, where suspects allegedly smashed a vehicle window and removed a laptop bag. The incident was captured in part on business security cameras. Police request that anyone with additional footage or eyewitness information reach out directly.
