Sl: Zjutraj je nad Ljubljano sijal hladen jesenski sončni žarek.
En: In the morning, a cold autumnal sunbeam shone over Ljubljana.

Sl: Barvitost listja je pritegnila pozornost učencev Osnovne šole Ljubljanski zvon, ki so se zbrali pred vhodom v ljubljanski živalski vrt.
En: The colorful leaves caught the attention of the students from Osnovna šola Ljubljanski zvon as they gathered in front of the entrance to the Ljubljana Zoo.

Sl: Mateja, Tomaž in Gorazd so se smejali in klepetali, pripravljeni na dan, poln raziskovanja in učenja.
En: Mateja, Tomaž, and Gorazd laughed and chatted, ready for a day full of exploration and learning.

Sl: »Hej,« je rekla Mateja, ko je opazovala veter, ki je nosil rdeče in rumene liste po poti, »komaj čakam, da vidim volkove!
En: "Hey," said Mateja, as she watched the wind carrying red and yellow leaves along the path, "I can’t wait to see the wolves!

Sl: Moj sanjski poklic je biti biologinja, veš, Tomaž?
En: My dream job is to be a biologist, you know, Tomaž?"

Sl: «Tomaž, vedno nasmejan, ji je pomežiknil.
En: Tomaž, always smiling, winked at her.

Sl: »Jaz pa sanjam o tem, da postanem klovn.
En: "I dream of becoming a clown.

Sl: Ampak hej, volkovi so v redu tudi zame!
En: But hey, wolves are fine by me too!"

Sl: «Gorazd je prekinil vrtenje pogovora.
En: Gorazd interrupted the course of the conversation.

Sl: »Prijatelji, osredotočimo se na nalogo.
En: "Friends, let's focus on the task.

Sl: Vsak izmed nas mora zapisati opazovanja o določenih živalih.
En: Each of us has to write down observations about certain animals.

Sl: Mateja, dobiš volkove, Tomaž, lisičke, jaz pa žirafe.
En: Mateja, you get the wolves, Tomaž, the foxes, and I’ll take the giraffes."

Sl: «Ko so vstopili skozi velika vrata, jim je svež zrak pihal v obraze.
En: As they entered through the large gates, the fresh air blew against their faces.

Sl: Ljubljana Zoo je bil poln živalskih zvokov, od rahlega šepetanja listja do oddaljenega rjovenja levov.
En: Ljubljana Zoo was full of animal sounds, from the gentle whispering of leaves to the distant roaring of lions.

Sl: »Poglej vse te barve,« je rekel Tomaž, ko so se napotili skozi pot.
En: "Look at all these colors," said Tomaž as they walked along the path.

Sl: »Prava umetnina je.
En: "It's a true masterpiece."

Sl: « Medtem ko so občudovali naravo, so listi pod nogami nežno šušteli.
En: As they admired nature, the leaves gently rustled under their feet.

Sl: Mateja se je osredotočila na svoje zapiske.
En: Mateja focused on her notes.

Sl: »Moram se ločiti od skupine, da dobim vse informacije o volkovih.
En: "I need to separate from the group to get all the information about the wolves.

Sl: Razumeta?
En: Do you understand?"

Sl: «Gorazd je bil skeptičen.
En: Gorazd was skeptical.

Sl: »Moramo delati skupaj, Mateja.
En: "We need to work together, Mateja.

Sl: Dajmo končati skupaj.
En: Let’s finish together."

Sl: «Mateja pa je vztrajala: »Volkovi so danes nekoliko odmaknjeni, rabim mir.
En: However, Mateja insisted: "The wolves are a bit secluded today, I need some peace."

Sl: « Tomaž je opazil možnosti za podporo in zabavo hkrati.
En: Tomaž saw an opportunity for both support and fun at the same time.

Sl: »Povem ti, Mateja, pride
