EEARSS by Alligator Robb Podcast – Season 5, Episode 4

Howdy y’all and welcome to the EEARSS by Alligator Robb Podcast, produced by Terrier TV at Titusville High School.

In this episode, we sit down with the Medical Director of Animal Wellness Center in Saint Augustine, Florida.

Our guest graduated from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010 with a dual DVM and Master’s in Laboratory Animal Science, completed a Laboratory Animal Medicine residency at Yale University in 2012, and achieved ACLAM diplomate status in 2013.

She worked as a lab animal veterinarian at Princeton University and the University of Florida for the first seven years of her career, while also doing private small animal practice on the side. In 2018, she transitioned to full-time small animal practice, working in both brick-and-mortar and mobile clinics. By 2020, she shifted mid-COVID to self-employed small animal relief work, continuing until she accepted her current position with the Animal Wellness Center in December 2024.

Her professional interests include small animal internal medicine, dermatology, and exotics — including nonhuman primates. She especially enjoys partnering with and educating clients in small animal practice.

Outside of her main role, she also has several “side gigs”:

  • TAG Consulting & Veterinary Services – veterinary consulting and private practice relief
  • Portia Luxe Boutique – selling luxury handbags to fund treatment for rescue animals
  • Bespoke Firearms Consulting – serving as business manager alongside her husband
  • Monarch Performance Horses – horse training and sales

When not working, her hobbies include horseback riding, weightlifting, yoga, gardening, and camping.

Tune in for a conversation about a dynamic veterinary career that bridges lab animal medicine, small animal practice, and innovative side ventures.
