With Practice

Season 2 Episode 4 Published 10 months ago
Description

“Easier said than done. But only done with practice.”

When I hear someone say “easier said than done", it frustrates me and annoys me because they feel that whatever that thing is, it is not possible or it is very difficult to the point of their own frustration. It makes me want to prove them wrong and frankly to stop talking to them.

Someone saying easier said than done means that they see the limits of a task versus the accomplishment of the task.

Of course, there are ways to hear this in a different tone. Someone can say, easier said than done, knowing that the task is going to be difficult, but still possible. In those situations, the person understands that the task may be difficult, but completely doable through effort, practice, and consistency.

All of these things combined make any task that is seemingly insurmountable entirely possible.

To those that have the mentality of looking at an entire task as so large that it’s difficult and daunting, I would say start with putting one foot in front of the other. Doing this consistently with effort will help make any task so much more easy to deal with and do. Tracking your progress from where you started is an amazing strategy. Tracking your progress toward a goal is absolutely necessary to accomplish anything.
