Summary

In 2 John, the author addresses a special woman and her children, although some think this might symbolize a church and its members. Regardless, the message applies to both. John emphasizes love and praises the woman’s children for following God’s laws, which include loving one another.

During the time of writing, false teachers denied Jesus’ humanity, a crucial Gospel truth since it relates to forgiveness through His sacrifice. John warns the woman not to let these false teachers ruin their work and advises against welcoming or greeting them, as it would support their wrongdoing.
