Story Transcript:

Cy: Ar lan y môr ym Môn, roedd Holyhead fel pe bai'n hongian rhwng y tywydd a'r tymhorau.
En: By the sea in Môn, Holyhead seemed to hang between the weather and the seasons.

Cy: Roedd y tonnau'n chwyrlïo'n wyllt dan y cymylau llwyd trwm.
En: The waves swirled wildly under heavy grey clouds.

Cy: Roedd Gwenyth yn sefyll ar lan y môr, ei llygaid yn hyderus ond ei chalon yn rasio.
En: Gwenyth stood by the sea, her eyes confident but her heart racing.

Cy: Roedd y ras gychod blynyddol yn fwy na dim ond cystadleuaeth iddi.
En: The annual boat race was more than just a competition to her.

Cy: “Mae'r storm yn dod,” rhybuddiodd Rhys, ei gyfaill ffyddlon.
En: “The storm is coming,” warned Rhys, her faithful friend.

Cy: Roedd y gwynt yn gryf, ac roedd y môr yn meddu ar gryfder anhysbys.
En: The wind was strong, and the sea possessed an unknown strength.

Cy: Roedd Elin, menyw gyflym a doeth arall yn y criw, yn edrych â phryder hefyd.
En: Elin, another fast and wise woman in the crew, looked with concern as well.

Cy: “Mae'n beryglus,” ychwanegodd Elin, “ond ydym ni wir am stopio nawr?”
En: “It’s dangerous,” added Elin, “but do we really want to stop now?”

Cy: "Na," meddai Gwenyth gyda phenderfyniad.
En: “No,” said Gwenyth with determination.

Cy: “Dyma pam mae'n rhaid i mi wneud hyn.
En: “This is why I have to do this.

Cy: Ond angen i ni fod yn glyfar.
En: But we need to be smart.

Cy: Gofalu am ein hunain fel criw.”
En: Take care of ourselves as a crew.”

Cy: Cawsant eu herio wrth i'r gwynt chwipio, fel pe bai Duw'r môr ei hun yn chwarae gyda'r cychod bach a chrif.
En: They were challenged as the wind whipped, as if the God of the sea itself was playing with the small and sturdy boats.

Cy: Wrth iddyn nhw ddechrau'r ras, dywedodd Gwenyth, “Rydyn ni'n mynd i reoli'r tywydd, nid i reoli ni.”
En: As they started the race, Gwenyth said, “We are going to control the weather, not let it control us.”

Cy: Wrth iddynt symud ymlaen, dechreuodd y storm ddwyshau.
En: As they proceeded, the storm began to intensify.

Cy: Roedd tonnau uchel fel cofnodion dŵr wrth eu hymyl.
En: High waves were like walls of water beside them.

Cy: Roedd Gwenyth yn wynebu ei hofn mwyaf - dyfnder nad oedd diwedd i'w weld.
En: Gwenyth faced her greatest fear - a depth with no end in sight.

Cy: “Cadw'r cychod yn gyffyrddus!” gwaeddodd, ei llais yn dilyw ar draws y gwynt.
En: “Keep the boats steady!” she shouted, her voice slicing through the wind.

Cy: Rhys a Elin ailmewniodd eu hargyhoeddiad yn yr anadl eu hunain a phrofi eu ffrindiaeth trwy osod eu hymrwymiad i Gwenyth.
En: Rhys and Elin inhaled their conviction with their own breath and proved their friendship by committing themselves to Gwenyth.

Cy: "Yn dal i fynd!" gweiddi Gwenyth, wrth iddynt orymdeithio drwodd, cyfeillgarwch yn eu cysylltwyr ac ymddygiad yn dal i frwydro canolbwyntio.
En: “Still going!” shouted Gwenyth, as they marched through, friendship in their bonds and determination still battling to concentrate.

Cy: Fel tonnau goresgynnol yn plygu i’r traethau, llwyddodd y criw i arwain y cwch i’r derfynfa, diogel ond yn flinedig.
En: Like overwhelming waves bowing to the shores, the crew managed to steer the boat to the finish line, safe but exhausted.

Cy: Roedd Gwenyth yn gwybod, dyna oedd gwir wynebau dewder - y gall
