Back to EpisodesSheriff’s daughter says she didn’t have contact with judge her dad killed; details of 'psychosis'
Description
New details are emerging from grand jury testimony regarding Kentucky Sheriff Mickey Stines alleged murder of Judge Kevin Mullins. The Grand Jury transcripts, released by the court, indicate the Sheriff’s wife and daughter deny having any contact with the judge before the killing. Stines was “losing it” in the days ahead of the shooting, according to coworkers. A mental health assessment performed after Stines arrived at the jail indicated he was in a “state of psychosis” and even had to be pepper sprayed at one point. In this edition of Brian Entin Investigates, we go over the newest court documents and what they mean for a potential motive in the case. Also — allegations from the Sheriff’s defense attorney that key components to the Sheriff’s mental health condition were not told to the grand jury that ultimately indicted him.
