Sk: Marek stál pred nemocnicou.
En: Marek stood in front of the nemocnica (hospital).
Sk: Vietor mu fúkal do tváre a s ním prenášal vôňu jesenných lístia.
En: The wind blew into his face, carrying the scent of autumn leaves.
Sk: Bol nervózny.
En: He was nervous.
Sk: Pred niekoľkými dňami sa dozvedel, že jeho mama je znova v nemocnici.
En: A few days earlier, he had learned that his mom was in the hospital again.
Sk: Jana a Zuzana, jeho sestry, už vo vnútri čakali.
En: Jana and Zuzana, his sisters, were already waiting inside.
Sk: Nemocnica bola plná ľudí.
En: The hospital was full of people.
Sk: Rodiny sedeli na chodbách, niektorí sa ticho rozprávali, iní len mlčky čakali.
En: Families sat in the corridors, some speaking quietly, others just waiting silently.
Sk: Marek prešiel okolo sterilných bielych stien a cítil sa trochu stratený.
En: Marek passed by the sterile white walls, feeling a bit lost.
Sk: Vojde do izby a vidí Janu a Zuzanu, sediace pri posteli, kde ich mama, pani Kováčová, ticho ležala.
En: He entered the room and saw Jana and Zuzana sitting by the bed where their mom, Mrs. Kováčová, lay quietly.
Sk: Jej tvár bola ospalá, ale keď Marek vstúpil, usmiala sa.
En: Her face was sleepy, but when Marek entered, she smiled.
Sk: "Chýbal si nám," povedala Jana, jemne sa usmievajúc.

Sk: "To môže byť veľa pre mamu," namietla Zuzana, "možno by sme mali zvážiť niečo menej agresívne."
En: "That might be too much for mom," Zuzana objected, "maybe we should consider something less aggressive."
Sk: Marek, zneistený, vedel, že rozhodnutie nie je jednoduché.
En: Marek, uncertain, knew that the decision was not simple.
Sk: Na jednej strane cítil povinnosť bojovať za matkinu čo najlepšiu starostlivosť, na druhej strane si bol vedomý jej želania nebyť prínosom pre nikoho.
En: On one hand, he felt obligated to fight for his mother's best care, but on the other hand, he was aware of her wish not to be a burden to anyone.
Sk: Rozhovor pokračoval, každý z nich mal iný názor.
En: The conversation continued, each of them having a different opinion.
Sk: Počas ich diskusie sa ich mama pohla a hľadela na nich so slabým úsmevom.
En: During their discussion, their mom moved and looked at them with a faint smile.
Sk: "Deti moje," zašepkala tichým hlasom, "nemajte zo mňa strach.
En: "My children," she whispered in a quiet voice, "don't be afraid for me.
Sk: Dôverujem doktorom, ale ostaňte so mnou."
En: I trust the doctors, but stay with me."
Sk: Práve vtedy začal ich rozhovor prerušovať lekár, ktorý priniesol dobré správy.
En: Just then, their conversation was interrupted by a doctor who brought good news.
Sk: "Vyzerá to, že reakcia na liečbu je lepšia, než sme očakávali," vysvetlil.
En: "It seems that the response to the treatment is better than we expected," he explained.
