'Shopping for Superman' Director Interview - Wes Eastin on Comic Book Shops and Silly Super Heroes
This is a special one for me. My friend Wes Eastin has been working on a documentary for years, talking about the history of comic book shops, the fans who frequent them, and the impact they've had on comics publishing. THE DOCUMENTARY IS FINALLY GETTING A RELEASE! Hilariously though, it's getting distributed on the EXACT SAME DAY as the streaming launch of 'Superman'. What are the odds? TWO movies about comic book characters, with the name "SUPERMAN" in the title, getting launched on the same day! This was a huge labor of love, interviewing creators, business owners, and fans. I loved this documentary, and I hope you'll give it a watch (after you catch some of this conversation I recorded with Wes of course...)
