Description

Gullane Golf Club delivers a magical links experience, leaving us completely in love with the course and facilities as we explore the self-described "Village of Golf."

• Driving to Gullane provides immediate immersion in golf with courses lining both sides of the road
• The club features two clubhouses - the historic Members' Clubhouse and the newer Links Clubhouse built about 10 years ago
• Dylan, the Sales Manager, showed us their exceptional facilities including a top tracer driving range and new starters pavilion
• Gullane's visitor philosophy treats guests as "members for the day" with exceptionally friendly service
• The course layout works with natural land that predates golf, creating a simple yet brilliant design around a single hill
• Bernard Darwin's "most beautiful place in the world" at the top of Gullane hill offers stunning views of the course, ocean and Edinburgh
• The par threes provided good scoring opportunities despite requiring solid strikes
• Chris shot an impressive 87 (16 over) while Nish carded a 97 (26 over)
• The 17th hole offers a spectacular view as you play back down toward the village at golden hour
• Gullane features three distinct courses with No. 2 designed by Willie Park Jr. and No. 3 known as "the gem of the club"
• The club has earned the Gold Flag award from the 59 Club for five consecutive years
