151: The Day I Wanted to Be Sold (and Wasn’t)

Published 10 months ago
Description

This weekend I had an experience that completely flipped my perspective on sales. John and I went car shopping (hello, minivan life 🫣) and walked away shocked — not by the cars, but by the salespeople. Both dealerships completely dropped the ball, and we literally looked at each other and said: “I wish they’d sold us harder.”

Wild, right? But here’s the thing: that moment crystallized for me a truth I’ve been teaching my clients for years. Our prospects don’t want us to tiptoe around. They don’t want to be left alone to spiral in indecision. They want us to lead, ask great questions, and show them how their problem can actually be solved.

If you’ve ever thought “I don’t want to pressure anyone” or worried that selling feels pushy…this episode is for you. I’ll take you inside my real-life car shopping fiasco and show you why not selling your people well is actually the bigger disservice.
