Episode #683 - Coming Back From Failure with Keith Bilous, The Original Growth Hacker

Episode 691 Published 2 years, 8 months ago
Description
In this episode of the Million Dollar Mastermind podcast, Host Larry Weidel is joined by one of the original ‘Growth Hackers’, Keith Bilous, Founder of The Business Athlete Performance Lab (bapl.ai).

Together, they discuss why you need to take responsibility for your own failures, how to get back up once you’ve failed, and why Keith learns by ‘doing’ rather than sitting in a classroom or having someone talk to him!

Key highlights include:
  • No matter who you are, we all go through some sort of failure, and Keith is no exception to the rule. But it’s not about how many times you fall down, it’s about how many times you get back up. Your resilience will turn you into the person you want to be and will get you through some of the toughest vicissitudes life throws at you.
  • You need to take responsibility for your failures. It’s easy for us to say that it’s someone else’s fault or that it wouldn’t have happened were it not for certain aspects, but sometimes you need to look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself what you could have done differently to not end up in that situation.
  • Keith says that he loves to go out there and ‘do it’. He’s not someone who can learn from simply sitting in a classroom; he needs to go out there and do the work that needs to be done in order to succeed. But, at the end of the day, it all comes down to communication, whether that be with the world or the people you’re closest to in life, if you can’t communicate then you can’t do what you need to do.
