Dr. Casey McQuade

Dr. Casey McQuade is a current chief medical resident at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He completed his undergraduate studies in bioengineering and subsequently medical school at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. After he finishes his chief year, he will pursue a career as an academic hospitalist and wants to continue developing his skills as a clinician-educator. His primary research interests include strategies for reducing heart failure readmission rates and the use of social media for education. With the help of his colleagues, he runs the popular Twitter feed @MedEdPGH, which hosts live case discussions focused on developing participants’ clinical reasoning skills. Outside of
