1012. LA County Fire Victims Share Stories of Loss, Hope & the Best Ways to Support Them Right Now

Published 1 year, 2 months ago
Description

Hello, Heal Squad. Today’s episode will be one that holds a very special place in our hearts for years of podcasts to come ❤️Today, Maria brings together a group of LA Fire victims to share their personal stories of survival and recovery. We hear from men and women that were affected by the Eaton and Palisades fires, recounting their experiences of evacuating their homes—some not even knowing if their homes would survive. They also open up about their needs right now (they’re not what you think!), and the many challenges they have faced, like navigating insurances, finding temporary housing, and coping with anxiety, fear, and remorse. They also tell us the best ways we can support them and their fellow survivors (Check the resources below). We hope this episode humbles and inspires you to take action and do some good in your own community. This is a conversation we’ll always remember and we hope you love it as much as we do.
