The Writing is on the Wall

Preppers live by a simple creed: pay attention to the signs before disaster strikes. That’s why the phrase “seeing the writing on the wall” is more than just a biblical echo—it’s a timeless principle of survival. We need to pay attention and when we see things we need to act! The Ancient Origin

The phrase comes from the Book of Daniel, Chapter 5.

King Belshazzar of Babylon was feasting, mocking the sacred by drinking from holy vessels stolen from the Temple in Jerusalem. Suddenly, a hand appeared and inscribed words on the wall: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN.

Daniel interpreted the writing as divine judgment:

* MENE – Your days are numbered.

* TEKEL – You’ve been weighed and found wanting.

* PARSIN – Your kingdom will be divided and handed over.

That very night, Babylon fell. The warning was clear, but ignored until it was too late.

Modern Examples of the Writing on the Wall

* Energy Grid Stress – Rolling blackouts and emergency alerts aren’t random glitches; they’re warnings of systemic fragility. Grid failure is possible!

* Geopolitical Tensions – When nations mobilize, when shipping lanes close, when rhetoric shifts toward war, that’s writing on the wall for supply disruptions and global war. Get ready.

* Financial Fragility – Sky-high debt, manipulated interest rates, and government bailouts all scream instability. Our system has fragility.
