Should Uncle Sam Be Buying Companies?
Having America be a 10% owner in Intel feels wrong to me. From a first principles standpoint I am not sure that I can get behind it. However, from a strategic perspective I can understand the National Security perspective because we are in a war for supremacy in Artificial Intelligence with China. We need every advantage to keep our lead. But will this lead to other government acquisitions of private companies? What happens when a liberal strongman is in office during the next presidential term? Let me know your comments below !
