Ekeler has resigned from the same position at Tennessee, and the Nebraska native (and former assistant coach under Bo Pelini) appears set to return home to help the Huskers address their special teams troubles. We revisit the spring game story from the weekend, which blew up nationally after Matt Rhule used a word in his press conference that functions as a lightning rod.

And the Nebraska basketball team is back from the dead. Fred Hoiberg’s Huskers beat 16th-ranked Oregon on Sunday night. Nebrasketball has returned to the NCAA Tournament conversation less than one week after it was mired in a six-game skid.
