President Donald Trump today condemned the fatal stabbing of a Ukrainian refugee in North Carolina. The suspect accused of killing 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska in August was free on cashless bail after having been arrested 14 times in the state.
Trump is expected to sign a proclamation following the release of the Make America Healthy Again Commission’s latest report today. The plan outlines strategies to combat the childhood chronic disease epidemic and builds on the commission’s first report, published in May.
In the Middle East, Israeli forces launched airstrikes in Qatar, targeting senior Hamas leaders. The strikes came after Hamas claimed responsibility for a deadly attack at a bus stop in Jerusalem.
