When people have different gifts, talents, passions, experiences we have a choice in how we approach difference. We can welcome it or we can be afraid of it. The image of the body of Christ gives us a framework for how to approach differences when we encounter them. That doesn’t mean we will all agree, but it does remind us of the value of each person contributes to the body of Christ.
