According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, during the previous week, multiple incidents were documented across the greater Fresno area. On August 28 in the Riverstone area of Madera County, which borders north Fresno, deputies responded to several alleged vehicle burglaries from unlocked vehicles between Thursday, August 28 and Tuesday, September 2. Items reported stolen included a firearm, bow releases, grooming tools, a tool kit, car keys, an audio stereo, and stolen mail. Investigation using neighborhood surveillance led authorities to identify a black 2008 Ford Edge at several crime scenes. On Tuesday, September 2, Fresno resident Felipe Martinez Medina, age 38, was arrested in Fresno while operating another stolen vehicle. He is currently in custody and will face local charges related to the thefts once released from the Fresno County Jail. The case remains active with a Madera County arrest warrant issued.
On August 29, in southeast Fresno, Fresno Police arrested Itzel Hernandez Tran in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident involving corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant, as recorded in public jail release information. Tran was released on September 3 and the case status is pending review.
Also in Fresno, the Fresno Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an alleged theft of credit cards from a gym locker on August 21. The suspect used the stolen cards shortly after the incident. No arrest has been made, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact police.
On September 2, in the downtown area, Paige Marie Littrell, 34, was arrested by Clovis Police on allegations of violating a domestic violence protective order and possession of narcotics other than marijuana. She was released on bond on September 3. The case is under ongoing investigation.
Eliezel Jose Davila, 25, was cited by Fresno Police on September 3 for alleged grand theft of property. Details regarding the location are limited, and the case remains open.
In the Tower District vicinity, Samuel Raymond Muller, 44, was arrested on August 28 for alleged repeat theft offenses. According to jail releases, Muller is being supervised pretrial, and his case is pending adjudication.
A federal sentencing was handed down this week in Fresno with Ady Perez, 26, receiving five years in prison for trafficking 1,500 fentanyl pills. The arrest was part of a larger federal investigation and is considered resolved.
