This genre blends Romance and Fantasy and certainly isn't new; the Twilight series came out in the 90s and the genre reaches back even further than that. But it is undeniably hot now: Romantasy titles account for nearly half of total fiction sales. Olivia and Shauna discuss some of the most popular Romantasy works, like A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas and Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, and discuss how Greek and Norse mythology inform the genre, as well as its variations, tropes and archetypes. Finally, the Junkies give their recommendations to start you on your journey into the realms of fantasy romance.
