The Tampa Bay Rays complete the sweep of the Washington Nationals, winning 7-4. The Rays like the first two games got the scoring started early. They scored 6 runs in the 2nd inning highlighted by a Grand Slam by Brandon Lowe to break the game open. The Rays would add another run in the 3rd after a Josh Lowe triple. He would score on a Sac Fly by Everson Pereira to make it 7-0. The Nationals would add runs in the 3rd and the 4th to make it 7-4. Ian Seymour started for the Rays and was solid. He went 5 IP giving up just 1 earned run and 8 strikeouts to pick up the win. The Rays have their biggest home stand of the season coming up. Welcoming in Seattle and Cleveland, both are ahead of them in the wild card standings. They start the home stand tomorrow night against Seattle.
