Last night’s SmackDown was all about one thing — Sami Zayn burying Solo Sikoa to win the United States Championship. And it’s not the first time we’ve talked about this Sami Zayn problem here on WrestleChop. Is Sami now the gatekeeper of the mid-card division? Why is he booked so powerful that even Jacob Fatu couldn’t take him down?
We also had John Morrison apologizing to The Kid, but no Cody Rhodes in sight. Why is Cody completely absent on the road to Clash in Paris? And what’s the point of Drew McIntyre fighting Randy Orton when there’s no clear direction?
This was supposed to be the go-home show for Clash in Paris, but it didn’t feel like one at all. SmackDown was good, but the booking left us scratching our heads, and WWE — especially Triple H — still has a lot to overcome heading into the big event.
Let’s break it down, Chop Nation, because this was one confusing ride.
