The Tampa Bay Rays get back on track, beating the Washington Nationals 4-1. The Rays got the scoring started in the first inning. Brandon Lowe hit a long 2 run home run to make it 2-0. The Nationals would add a run in the bottom of the first to make it 2-1. No team would score again until the 5th inning when Everson Pereira hit his first home run with the Rays to make it 3-1. The Rays pitching staff would get out of Jams in the 4th and 7th inning to keep the lead. The Rays would add an insurance run in the 9th inning to make it 4-1 off a Chandler Simpson RBI single. The Rays bullpen was fantastic tonight. They pitched the last 5 innings allowing just 2 hits and no runs. The Rays will look to win the series tomorrow night.
